Architecture of Villa Clara, Cuba
Architecture of Villa Clara, like in all Cuba, has a strong Spanish influence with a predominant neoclassical and art deco style. The Churches of Carmen and San Juan de Los Remedios, the Santa Clara Cathedral, the Church of Buen Viaje and the old convent of the city are clear examples of this influence.
Santa Clara mainly shows examples of the republican era, without leaving aside icons of the XX century like the Caridad Theatre. Among the examples of the modern movement is the Central University "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas, as well as the Che Guevara Monument.
