Villa Tortuga, Kawama, Arenas Blancas, of the SolyMar Complex, and the Meliá Internacional hotel are the facilities with which the Gran Caribe Hotel Group restarts its operations in Varadero, the main Cuban tourist pole of sun and beach, according to national media reports.
Ismary Hernández Pérez, the Group's delegate in Matanzas also reported that Villa Tortuga and Kawama already have national clients, while Arenas Blancas and the Meliá Internacional will begin to receive clients as of this July 1st.

In her statements, the delegate from the Greater Caribbean underscored the training of workers in the tourism sector in compliance with the biosecurity protocols established in the facilities.

The hotels that restart operations in this first post-COVID-19 recovery phase in the Hicacos Peninsula will do so with 60 percent occupancy, according to the measures required for the stage, and from this July 1st when they reopen their doors Arenas Blancas and Meliá Internacional, will add more than 600 rooms available to the domestic market.
