All-inclusive Pullman Cayo Coco Hotel ready to give service
The Pullman Cayo Coco hotel, the only one of its kind in the world managed by the French chain Accor Hotels that operates under the all-inclusive modality in a sun and beach destination, has just been the first in Jardines del Rey to receive certification for start operations in the post-COVID-19 stage.
Belonging to the Gran Caribe Chain, the accreditation was obtained after its workers and managers underwent rigorous examinations carried out within the facility, governed by the Hygiene and Safety Protocol for Confrontation of COVID-19, that each destination or Tourism institution must adapt to its services and particularities.
Supervised by the Ministry of Public Health, the Protocol also establishes a Program for the Certification of the Most Hygienic and Safe Tourism, and its corresponding Guide, aspects related to the training of workers and the regulation of activities according to the requirements of the moment.
Granma had access to the Pullman Cayo Coco certification process and learned that in the case of non-hotel services, stores and shopping centers are also documented, in addition to car rental, effective only within the keys.
Jean-Luc Grossin, general director of the facility, praised the way in which Cuba treats the pandemic and said that this enabled the enlistment to open the doors of the hotel to the world, always complying with fundamental premises for security, such as the Physical distancing and disinfection in each area to avoid contagion, among many other measures that will be put into practice.
For his part, Alexis Crespo Torres, deputy director general of the hotel, said that the accreditation is the result of many days of uninterrupted work, in which the effort of the workers and the sense of belonging to the facility prevailed, which this December will be five years since it opened its doors to national and foreign tourism.
The 566-room, five-star category Pullman Cayo Coco will start operations as soon as the first flights arrive, with 70% of the total available capacity, no more than 800 clients. Booking available on www.cuba.travel.
Iyolexis Correa Lorenzo, delegate of the Ministry of Tourism in Ciego de Ávila, specified that, in the beginning, in addition to the Pullman Cayo Coco, the Hotel Playa Paraíso has also been certified these days.
