IX Edition of International Fishing Tournament

“Jardines Del Rey Big Game Trolling”

The ninth edition of the Jardines Del Rey International Tournament will be held in Cayo Guillermo making use of the marine and fishery potential of the northern part of this beautiful area which will have a yearly basis. In the event, professional or amateur anglers, associated or not with fishing clubs and Associations who wish to learn more about the sea and its species are invited to participate.

The fishing tournament will take place at Jardines Del Rey Touristic Marina of Cayo Guillermo from November 5^th to november 10^th of 2022.

Registration Fees:

Hiring a boat will cost 2000.00 USD for three (3) full fishing days and one (1) half fishing day.

Includes:

• Specialized crew
• Fishing gear
• Light food and drinks
• Fishing license

The registration for the tournament costs 400.00 USD per team from one to four anglers.

Includes: 

• Credentials and official event schedule.
• Welcome cocktail
• Closing ceremony activities

The registration fees as well as other dues in Cuba should be paid in USD money.

Schedule:

• Day 5th: (1st) Registration, captain meeting and welcome reception.
• Day 6th: (2nd) fishing day (full day)
• Day 7^th: (3^rd) fishing day (full day)
• Day 8 ^{th  Day OFF}
• Day 9^th: (4^th) fishing day (full day)
• Day 10^th: (5^th) fishing day (half day) Award ceremony and farewell party

  Hiring a Boat:

Hiring a boat will be made until November 4^th 2022. The application should be sent by E-mail to the addresses listed below, the confirmation will be sent via e-mail.

Tournament Description:

The event will consider the capture of species such as: blue marlin, sailfish, wahoo and dolphin fish. The permitted fishing line will be 60 pounds and the notification of a tag and release or a capture will be informed to the marina control centre stating the time, the number of the team and the area where it occurred. Each crew will carry a camera that will be delivered to the jury at the end of the day, with 3 photos: when they capture the fish, when they tag it and then when they released.  

The boats will be those used by MARLIN and fishing yachts from 33 to 42 feet equipped with four lines each.

 Prizes:

First, second and third places: (according to the scores.)

The first capture of marlin specie will be awarded and also the biggest dolphin fish.

The team award consists in all cases of work of arts related to fishing. Varying its value according to the place obtained and accompanied with typical Cuban souvenirs.
