Cities of Ciego de Ávila and Morón

The most important cities near the North Cays of the province are Ciego de Ávila and Morón.

The city of Ciego de Ávila, with more than 420 thousand inhabitants, occupies the seventh place in the country. Predominant vernacular and eclectic architecture are also expressed Arabic with Andalusian root, baroque and art-deco. The presence of corridors and neoclassical columns mark the image of the city. Buildings such as the Main Theater, the Catholic Cathedral, the Fort of the Trocha and others, are of architectural and historical interest.
