Travelers will have easier access to Santa Maria and Cayo Coco Keys, to the Che Guevara Memorial in Santa Clara, to heritage sites such as Trinidad, in Sancti Spiritus, and other places of interest in Cienfuegos province, FTI stressed in a statement.
It also explained that a special program for tourism operators was launched to foster the service starting to be offered. In statements to Prensa Latina, the Cuban Ambassador in Germany, Ramon Ripoll, highlighted the importance of these new air connections which open Monday from Munich and on March 22nd from Dusseldorf. The head of the diplomatic mission described the new offer as ‘an important event in the year of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Alexander von Humboldt and the 500th anniversary of the founding of Havana.’
