The news came out to public during the closure of the 17th International Cuisine Festival held from October 14th to 18th at the Convention Palace in Havana.

Gladys Collazo, the president of the National Heritage Council, announced that the native Cuban cuisine received the degree as Cultural Heritage during the ceremony hosted by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Jorge Luis Tapia; and the Cuban Tourist Minister, Manuel Marrero; the president of the Cuban Culinary Federation, the Chef Eddy Fernández, the Domestic Trade Minister Betsy Díaz; Liz Cuesta, president of the Organizer Committee of the Cuba Sabe gastronomy Event and header of the Academic Service of Paradiso Cultural Tourism Agency, among other personalities.

The event had a special importance because of the presentation of a project with children, clever cook little boys who guarantee the future of the Cuban cuisine.

CUBA SABE workshop also took place. This is an event that will be held from January 9th to 11th 2020 in Havana where will be shown the authentic Cuban way of cooking. This encounter melts the talent of the chef with other artistic trends in order to create a cultural melting pot, this time supported on the visual arts so as to show that Cuba “knows how to paint”

Likewise, the Cuban Culinary Federation received a donation from the Italian enterprise Rovimpex, a worldwide gastronomic equipment deliverer.
