Guanaroca Lagoon. Road to Rancho Luna Km 13 ½. Category: fauna refuge. Guanaroca lagoon is made by the river Arimao. It occupies an approximately area of 202 km2 with a cannel that links it to the bay. It is surrounded by mangroves and it´s an ideal place for bird watching. Guanaroca lagoon is a protected area with important flora and fauna values, such as pink flamingoes, tocororos and so forth.
El Nicho Waterfalls. Cumanayagua Municipality. It is a zone of forest and waterfalls in the mountains of Escambray.
