Weather in Trinidad

The climatic conditions of the municipality are determined by its latitude (in the tropical zone), its geographical position (on the southern coast of the central region of the island), as well as its relief (flat towards the south and rises to form the premountains and strongly dissected mountains of the north). The combination of these factors causes differences in the temperature and precipitation regime, not only seasonally, but also between mountainous and plain areas.

The average air temperatures in the plain are 26 to 28 °C in the summer, and between 22 and 24 °C in the winter. In the mountains, these values are 5 to 6 °C lower on average. The historical average annual rainfall is 1368.4mm. June is the month when it rains the most and January is the month when it rains the least.
