Precisely because it has a remarkable geological heritage and a unique ecosystem in the insular geography, the Viñales National Park has been declared the first Geopark in Cuba.

And, as if that were not enough, two islands to the north of the province will make that special day you have dreamed of come true: Cayo Jutías and Cayo Levisa, while the city of Pinar del Río, jovial and seductive, suggests you walk its streets to admire the eclectic and neoclassical architecture, represented by its most emblematic buildings.

Viñales, territory where this wonderful geographical feature is located is considered one of the oldest areas of Cuba, where fossil evidence belonging to the Jurassic period has been found and is distinguished among other reasons by the presence of valleys bathed by rivers and surrounded by rock formations called mogotes, only found in isolated points of the planet. Viñales highlights the high endemism of flora and fauna, with several species of terrestrial mollusks, 17 types of frogs, 40 species of reptiles and great diversity of birds that can be seen on trails such as Wonders of Viñales designed to bring the visitor to the natural environment .

Recognized as the capital of karst, Viñales reserves more than 300 caves including the Great Cavern of Santo Tomas, which is the largest in Cuba and the second largest in Latin America. For this, the Route to follow runs from the vegas of famous producers to the factory to taste excellent Cuban cigars. The fascination of past epochs takes over the capital city of Pinar del Río, which has emblematic buildings such as the Guasch Palace, with an eclectic architectural style and the Milanés Theater reflecting a late neoclassical, the Vueltabajo Hotel, among others that are also part of its heritage tangible.

The invitation continues to the Peninsula of Guanahacabibes, which goes back in history to the permanence of corsairs and pirates and their fame for possessing hidden treasures.
