Many people consider him a pianist of pianists, since its mastery established a unique way of making music. He has become a legend, not only among Cubans, but in the entire world of Afrocaribbean music and in the genre he chose: the Latin Jazz. Barbarito Diez Junco This tunero singer is known as The Voice of Danzon. His beautiful and refined tenor voice made him famous in Cuba and many other countries of the world. He recorded a big number of records containing treasures of the Cuban musical repertory throughout his 58 year long career. He worked in cabarets, theatres, balls, radio and television; traveled to countries if America, Europe and to the U.S. as well; he never learned the theoretical fundamentals of the musical art, but this didn’t stop him to defend danzon, an authentic Cuban genre.
