Youth Music Festival
If you are more contemporary and like music of all colors, sleeping will be an utopia for you in Las Tunas during the days when the Youth Music Festival is celebrated, where the Entre Música event takes place, organized by the Asociación Hermanos Saiz. Each year, it brings together musicians from different corners of the country and of different tendencies. Emiliano Salvador
Musician and composer from Las Tunas who bequeathed to Latin jazz a vast work with a very personal style. Considered a pianist of pianists, he composed various pieces of genres of Cuban popular music, such as contradanza, dance, danzón, cha-cha, son, guaguancó, bolero, mambo and salsa, always fused with elements of jazz and even rock. He has become a legend not only among Cubans, but in the world of Afro-Caribbean music.
Barbarito Diez Junco
With hardly any academic musical training or playing any instrument, but with an unmatched voice and musical interpretations, Barbarito Diez became the Golden Voice of the Danzon. His voice immortalized great musical pages not only in Cuba but in various countries of the world. In his career of more than 58 years, he recorded a large number of full-length albums that contained treasures of the Cuban musical repertoire. Today that repertoire constitutes a legend inscribed in good music without limits of borders.
