This popular actress was born in Las Tunas on August 29, 1948. She distinguished herself on theatre. With the Estudio Theatre company she was able to work with great directors of the Cuban scene, such as Hector Quintero and Armando Suarez.
As for the film industry, Adria Santana worked in movies like Polvo Rojo (1982) and Casa Vieja (2010), delivering performances that moved the audience and made it one of the most well-known actresses in the Cuban scene. Among her awards and recognitions in Cuba are the Omar Valdes National Prize from the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba and the Alejo Carpentier Medal, from the Cuba’s State Council.
