Cuba is going to participate in the International Tourism Fair FITUR 2019

Cuba is going to participate in the 39th International Tourism Fair FITUR 2019, that will be held in Madrid at the usual headquarter, from January 23rd to 27th. The Cuban delegation will be headed by Manuel Marero Cruz, minister of tourism in Cuba. Besides there will be present the presidents of the main hotel chains, travel agencies, as well as the associated Meliá Hotels, Iberostar, Blue Diamond, Muthus, Roc Hotels, Accor, NH, Barceló, Valentin, Kempinski, among others. There will also be present the entrepreneurial groups Viajes Cuba and Cubasol, as well as Cuban Medical Services, Palco and Paraiso. Caracol will be headed by the cigar roller José Castelar Cairo (Cueto) who has rolled the biggest cigars in the world; winner of several Guinnes prizes. On the eve of FITUR, will take place the 22nd Ibero-American Conference of Ministers from Ibero-America and Entrepreneurial from the Spanish Tourism (CIMET), where Cuba will be headed be its minister.

FITUR 2019 will be held in Madrid Spain this year.

The International Tourism Fair (FITCUBA) will be held in Havana from May 6th to 11th this year. It will be dedicated to the form of events and incentives having Spain as invited country. It is dedicated on honor to the 500th anniversary of the city’s foundation. Spain is still being the main issuing market of tourists to Cuba destination that reached 167.970 of visitors last year. Cuba launches at FITUR a new design for the participation of its destination in international fairs; with a stand of 184.5 m2 at the pavilion 3, number C10.
